Process overview
Construction can be a messy business. In the early stages it can be difficult for clients (and indeed for contractors) to understand how a dust filled demolition site, or a muddy hole in the earth might be transformed into a wonderful work of architecture. We emphasise the need to maintain accuracy and attention to detail through all stages of construction which ensures that quality is embedded in the construction process from the early stages.
Alongside our strong conceptual approach sits a rigorous attention to detail. We have exacting standards and we expect contractors who work on our schemes to engage positively with this. Building a private home is a very personal process for our clients and we all seek to ensure that the right team of people is involved in this process. We have long term relationships with excellent specialist craftsmen who share our commitment to delivering beautiful high quality design. Our involvement through the construction process helps reinforce this, and regular site inspections help ensure that built fabric follows the architectural design and details. We are acutely aware that our clients go to significant lengths, both financially and personally, to realise their architectural dreams, and we strive to ensure the finished article surpasses expectations.
